Sailing Odysseys

Greece has 15,000 kilometers of coastline, 1,400 islands and one of the oldest sailing cultures in the world. Stand anywhere on Greek territory and you are within 100 kilometers of the sea.  With the cleanest waters in the Mediterranean, no wonder Greece is Europe’s premier sailing destination.

For many years we have owned and operated our own fleet of sailboats, motor yachts, and wooden motor sailers.  Note: All of our sailing trips are crewed yachts only.

Our company is experienced and licensed to operate private custom chartered tours throughout the Greek islands and Eastern Mediterranean as we have been doing for the past 25 years with an impeccable safety record.

Fill out the Vacation Profile Contact Form. With a detailed profile we can recommend the best sailing boat, itinerary and region in Greece for your party, as well as the estimated cost of your sailing adventure.

Private Charters

To efficiently customize your sailing vacation, start by filling out the Vacation Profile Contact Form. A detailed response enables us to create your party’s profile of desirable options.

Private Charters require a 500 euro deposit (est. $630 USD) to develop the itinerary and 650 euros ($820) if initiated within 120 days of trip departure. This is not a development fee but rather is applied to the final trip price. Review the information in Pricing for more details about our

Boat Size  The size of your party dictates the size of your boat.  We can provide your group traditional wooden sailing schooners (a gullet) with 8 cabins for 16 guests.  We also have fiberglass sailing boats with fewer cabins for families.  Also available are luxury motor yachts with 4-10 cabins accommodating 8-20 guests.  All our boats carry onboard the latest safety equipment and communications technology and are fully insured.

Crews  Our boats are fully crewed with a captain and additional deck hands depending on the size of the boat and needs of your party.  Our crews are seasoned Greek sailors, the best in the business, licensed and certified by all international sea faring regulatory agencies, including the US Coast Guard.  Our safety standards are guided and compliant with all the international and local safety at sea laws and regulations.

Sailing Life   Generally, chartered boats run from Saturday to Saturday.  Average sailing is three hours a day.  If your boat has a motor it can be used to keep to schedule, otherwise nature’s wind will get you to your next destination.   Your daily activities depend on the itinerary you plan with us (see below Optional Activities).  All bedding and linens are provided and changed twice within a week, including two towels (one for bath, one for the beach).  The cabins have private bath with shower and via an on board generator, air conditioning and electrical outlets (220V).

Eating Aboard   You can opt for full board with all meals provided by the resident chef who is skilled in preparing the wide and healthy variety of foods that make Greek cuisine a beloved choice for gourmands.  A typical breakfast consists of fresh yogurt and honey, eggs, cheese, bread and coffee.  Lunches are light, usually a salad.  You may you’re your dinner with the chef to your liking --- fish, pasta, vegetarian, as well as Greek wine.  Alternatively, you can have full use of the galley to prepare and cook your own food.  Whenever you wish you can also dine in port at a harbor taverna.  With either meal plan, water, fruit drinks and soft drinks on board are free.

Optional Activities  As a specialty travel tour operator, we know how to add depth to your sailing adventure.  Land activities enhance your sailing cruise and Greece has loads to do when docked.  Depending on your port of call, here are some popular activities:  guided archaeology tours at legendary sites, a wide variety of museums, cycling routes with cue sheets, visit local artists in their workshop, horseback riding, hiking paths, wineries and wine tasting, grape picking during the harvest, olive oil factories, culinary classes and a host of sea sports such as snorkeling, wind surfing and sea kayaking.

Logistical Support   Our services are available for whatever you may need.  We can, for example, arrange airport transfers, book hotels for a non-sailing portion of your tour, secure vehicle with driver during land ventures and supply you with local cell phones.

Sailing Season    Chartered sailing boats are available from April until the end of October.   Note:  prices differ significantly between low season (April, May, October) and high season (June, July, August, September).
