Greece makes a fabulous frontier for fun on two wheels. Add one or two cycling rides to your vacation in Greece. If your Aegea vacation includes a private driver with mini-van you can bring your bikes along and ride whenever you want.

Sacred Sites
	April 28 - May 9 and August 25 to September 5, moderate and challenging Ride to Olympia, Temple of Poseidon, Mycenae, Epidavros Theatre and more. Two daily routes, one long, the other shorter with vehicle transfers. We all end up the same destination each night, so we can all eat the same delciious Mediterranean dinners and drink delicious Greek wine.

Saronic Jewels
	June 26 to July 3, easy to moderate The Argo Saronic islands of Poros and Spetses lie in the southeastern "finger" of the Peloponnese. En route are legendary antiquties. Nafplio is a highlight of the tour, the prettiest city in the Peloponnese. Final destination: overnight in a winery.

Cycle Cyclades
	May 26 to June 2, moderate, cycling 8 days, June 2 - 6 Santorini add-on (non-cycling). Tinos, Mykonos, Paros & Naxos. Illustrious guest cyclist & tour lecturer – Brady Kiesling, former U.S. diplomat & archaeologist specializing in ancient Greece presenting daily "seminars" on Greece. Plus, Regina Tassitano expert in local Greek cuisine selecting daily dinners. August 18-25 tour available, too.

Peloponnese
	10 days, advanced Average 44 miles a day with mountain climbs. Cycle across Arcadia to Ancient Olympia. Tour also includes the mighty Mycenae ruins and the 3rd century BC Epidavros Theater.

Argo-Saronic
	8 days, moderate Average 27 miles a day with some hills. Visit Mycenae, Epidavros Theater, Palamidi Fortress in Nafplio, Ancient Corinth. Overnight on Spetses and Poros islands.

Crete
	8-10 days, moderate or advanced Average 32 miles (10 days) with some mountain climbs. Visit the Minoan palace city of Knossos, the Fortezza Venetian fort in Rethymno and an eco-park on the Lassithi Plateau.

Lesvos & Chios
	12 days, moderate Northern Aegea islands of Lesvos & Chios, off the beaten track, few tourists. In Chios, visit the enchanting mastica villages. In Lesvos, lots of hot springs in the sea. Consider a day trip to Turkey.

Self-Guided Pricing and Inclusions: Basic cost is 170 euros per person per day (about $250). Luggage transfers are 170 euros per transfer for up to 4 people and 340 per luggage transfer for more than 4 persons. (You can opt for self-contained: our bikes handle saddlebags and panniers). These inclusions take care of everything vital you will need for daily cycling, except meals.

Customized Trips

If you do not see a cycling route that appeals to you, we can work with you to design a personalized cycling agenda. To efficiently customize your bike vacation, start by filling out the Greece Vacation Profile Contact Form. From there we will follow up with more very specific biking questions.

A customized cycling itinerary can substitute a cycling day or two for leisure activities. Here are several typical examples of the types of engaging activities Aegea offers:

* Study spinning and weaving techniques in a mountain village on Naxos
* Test traditional Sfakian recipes in a Cretan cuisine culinary class
* Learn how to harvest the famous “mastica” trees from a Chios farmer
* Visit the workshop of a sculptor who works with ancient Paros marble
* Relax in little known hot springs right in the sea on the island of Lesvos

Customized trips require a 500 euros deposit (est. $630 USD) to develop the itinerary and 650 euros (est. $820) if initiated within 120 days of trip departure. Our Bicycles

We have a fabulous fleet of Specialized bicycles brought over from the States.

You have a choice of Allez Triple road bikes with carbon fiber forks, drop handlebars and thin tires or Crossroads XC Expert hybrids for road and off-road with flat "H" handlebars, front suspension forks and thicker tires. The bicycles are aluminum with triple chain rings and 27 gears.
